We are working in Koala Sampler! In this task, we will use the samples we recorded earlier to create our first beat: a simple rhythm that can become the foundation of a piece of music.
If you do not have your own samples yet, go back to the previous card: Record sounds.
Step 1: Play Your Samples#
Tap the pads one by one and check how each sample sounds.
Listen for sounds that work well together.
Step 2: Create a Rhythm#
Try playing samples one after another.
For example:
- clap
- tap
- clap
- voice sound
Repeat this sequence a few times until you are happy with the result.
Step 3: Find Your Rhythm#
Change the order of your samples and try to create a rhythm you like best.
There is no single correct answer—experiment and have fun with the sounds!
Mini Task#
Create your own beat using at least 3 different samples.
When you find a rhythm you like, go to the next card: Record Your Beat.
Tip: Changing the order of your samples can completely change the sound of your beat.
